A Perspective on Islam & Sufism
An interesting article (having more of a sufi tendency myself). Best quote was:
'I feel safe among shallow-minded occultists. I do not feel safe among literalists.'

I have long felt uneasy about books like Malcolm Gladwell's 'Blink', 'Tipping Point' and now, 'The Outliers' - as well as the works of other authors, such as 'Wikinomics' (which is really about networks) and 'The Wisdom of Crowds' (which I personally think should be read back-to-back with 'Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds'), as they are 'thunderingly obvious'. So I was glad to read this short cut in a recent copy of the London Review of Books, not to forget a review in the Economist.
FT Alphaville always manages to be funny in a crisis. Take the story of Latvia. Also, why analysts get profit forecast dreadfully wrong (not a surprise to anyone with a brain cell).
