Wozzy's Miscellany

The Comedy Cellar at Bracknell's South Hill Park was better than expected; a decent venue on a Friday night. It was a pleasure to see how the compere and three acts dealt with the incessant chattering at the front. The iPod Perv shared his secrets for staying awake with me and the Cistern Kid. Nah, they weren't very useful.Good also to see Briggsy, Sandeep, 'My name is Gerry David', Seb & Coprophile.

David Runciman published an excellent perspective on the US election in the LRB. Also, a good review of Jelinek's 'Greed' by Nicholas Spice.

Be sure to catch the Reith Lectures on R4. I find it interesting that the Reith Lectures started the same week as Big Brother on Channel 4.

and...how dumb?

Waiting in anticipation: 160GB iPod (thanks for picking it up, DMB) & PURE Highway.
